I always thought In-N-Out was slightly overrated due to provincial nostalgia, and my fondest memories of them were grabbing one by LAX on my way back home and spilling shit on my shirt before a flight. Spent a week in Dallas last year for work and similarly grabbed a Whataburger from the airport before heading home. It was good, but I was hungry. I guess it wins on account of not spilling all over my shirt.
I grew up with Whataburger and they were they bigger more expensive burger
I treated myself to when I was flush. But something changed over the years? They just don't taste like they used to. Maybe it's the bread?
Got to experience In-and-Out in recent years when they finally got to Austin.
Seriously delicious burger. But those fries, man, what a train wreck. Then they compound the crime by not selling fried onion rings! Ugh. I sooth my indecisiveness with Taco Cabana beef fajita tacos.....
