In-n-Out’s fries are the worst. A lot of people say you have to order them animal-style and they’re amazing, but your basically just covering over a product that’s bad to begin with. We have so many good fries in Chicago. I love the fries at Superdawg and Fatso’s the most. Excited to hear the results of the chili cheese fry research!
ooooh yeah. I have written about how bad In-N-Out's fries are, too, and the whole not blanching and frying twice thing. Damn this is making me want to do an NYC fry tour.
Also doing a bunch of eating research on chili cheese fries in L.A. and actually pleasantly surprised how many places serve crispy fries here. And this place called Eszett used to do what they called "Big Fries" that were just absolute tanks, two finger widths, but perfectly crispy and creamy on the inside. They really cared.
